Psychiatrist - Cibola County Correctional Center

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Typical duties include managing the operation and providing overall direction and leadership to the provision of mental health services to the facility. The Psychiatrist has the primary responsibility of providing administrative and clinical coordination for the comprehensive mental health program for the patients. Prescribes and monitors psychotropic medications for patients.  

Must have active New Mexico license, DEA and BLS or ACLS.

Cibola County Correctional Center is located approximately 80 miles west of Albuquerque.  The facility houses approximately 1100 ICE and US Marshall inmates.

Physician - Cibola County Correctional Center

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Provide direction and leadership for the medical program in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator.

Monitor and review operations and standards of care delivered to inmates.

Participate in treatment team meetings where individual health plans of inmates are devised, reviewed and altered.

Closely monitor all potential catastrophic illnesses.

Must have active New Mexico license with DEA,  BLS and/or ACLS.  Training  in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred. Must be able to pass clearance.

Nurse Practitioner - Cibola County Correctional Center

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

The Nurse Practitioner under the supervision of the Physician, provides advanced nursing services and patient care in the facility's medical program.

Provides comprehensive nursing care to include, but not limited to, executing physician's orders, dispensing and administering medications and performing examinations and treatment of patients; performs a variety of procedures and treatments.

Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.

Records physical findings, formulates prognosis based on patient's condition and discusses case with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.

Recommends drugs and other forms of treatment within the scope of licensure.

Accepts on-call status.

Must have active New Mexico  license, DEA and BLS. Must pass federal clearance.

Dentist - Cibola County Correctional Center

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

The Dentist is responsible for professional dental care for inmates.

Performs routine dental treatment including examining teeth and gums for cavities, infections and diseases; takes necessary x-rays; performs fillings and extractions as warranted.

Diagnoses and develops treatment plans for inmates.

Develops, coordinates and supervises the facility dental program to include advising and instructing inmates in the cause and prevention of dental disease.

Must have an active New Mexico  license with DEA and BLS. Must pass federal clearance.

Psychiatrist - Torrance County Detention Facility

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Typical duties include managing the operation and providing overall direction and leadership to the provision of mental health services to the facility. The Psychiatrist has the primary responsibility of providing administrative and clinical coordination for the comprehensive mental health program for the patients. Prescribes and monitors psychotropic medications for patients.  

Must have active New Mexico license, DEA and BLS or ACLS.

Position is part-time, 20 hours per week.

Torrance County Detention Facility is located in Estancia, NM, approximately one hour east of Albuquerque, NM. The facility holds approximately 1100 inmates.

Nurse Practitioner - Torrance County Detention Facility

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

The Nurse Practitioner under the supervision of the Physician, provides advanced nursing services and patient care in the facility's medical program.
