Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Stewart Detention Center

Qualifications:

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides a variety of professional services to include counseling, assisting in developing and implementing treatment and therapeutic programs for assigned inmates.

Provides direct casework services and individual, group and family counseling to inmates.

Prescribes and monitors psychotropic medications.

Accepts on-call status

Must have active Georgia license with specialty in psychiatry. Must have DEA and BLS/ACLS.

The Nurse Practitioner, under the supervision of the Physician, provides advanced nursing services and patient care in the facility's medical program.

Provides comprehensive nursing care to include, but not limited to, executing physician's orders, dispensing and administering medications and performing examinations and treatment of patients; performs a variety of procedures and treatments.

Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.

Records physical findings, formulates prognosis based on patient's condition and discusses case with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.

Recommends drugs and other forms of treatment within the scope of licensure.

Must have  active Georgia license, DEA and BLS.  Correctional health care experience preferred.

West Tennessee Detention Facility is a US Marshall, Bureau of Prison and Dept. of Homeland Security facility that houses approximately 600 male inmates. The facility has a 24 hour nursing staff with Provider day coverage.  The clinic also has dental and mental health staff day coverage.

West Tennessee Detention Facility is located in Mason, TN. Mason is approximately 45 miles east of Memphis, TN. 

 

 

Physician - South Central Correctional Center

Nurse Practitioner (Part-time) - Webb County Detention Center

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Physician - LaPalma Correctional Center

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Provide direction and leadership for the medical program in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator.

Provide a variety of professional medical services to inmates to include administering examinations, diagnosing medical and other problems, prescribing medications and providing treatment and follow-up care.

Monitor and review operations and standards of care delivered to inmates.

Make clinic rounds

Must have active Arizona license with DEA,  BLS and ACLS.  Must be board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

La Palma Correctional Center houses California as well as Arizona male inmates. It has a full clinic with day provider coverage, 24-hour nursing coverage. The clinic has a dental staff, mental health staff  and medical staff.

Eloy is located in West Central Pinal County, approximately 45 to 55 minutes outside of Phoenix

 

 

Physician - Wheeler Correctional Facility

Position is a 24 hour a week position. South Central Correctional Center is an 8 hour a week position located in Clifton, TN. West Tennessee Detention Facility is a 16 hour a week position located in Mason, TN. West Tennessee may be done through tele-psychiatry.
